This scriptural reference material may be used for believers who want a more thorough understanding on the Biblical view of the deity of Christ and for those who have had some questions on whether the NT writers believed that Jesus Christ is God who appeared to us in human flesh. There are four sections of Scriptures with many subsections. The four sections are: Section 1: Jesus was called God Section 2: Jesus has characteristics ascribed to God Section 3: Jesus is God by comparing Him with the Father Section 4: Jesus is God by the type of relationship he has with believers In all, there are at last count 266 verses, some of which are duplicated in different sections. (NIV) Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. (NIV) 4.7 GIVES REST TO THEIR SOULS: Matthew 11:28-30 28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (NIV) 4.8 GIVES THEM PEACE AND IS HIMSELF THEIR PEACE: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
